Latest Ja Morant Trade Rumors as Grizzlies Eye Offers, Value Revealed from Potential Landing Spots
The Memphis Grizzlies are entertaining trade offers involving point guard Ja Morant for the first time during his tenure with the organization, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
Multiple teams are pursuing the two-time All-Star and the Grizzlies are believed to be prioritizing young players as well as draft picks in a trade package, per Charania.
Charania noted that Memphis is considering building around other players such as Jaren Jackson Jr. while also remaining "open" to retaining Morant.

Every Team's Biggest Regret This Season 😞
Yahoo Sports' Kevin O'Connor listed the Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings as teams to watch regarding Morant. The Houston Rockets do not have interest in Morant, Yahoo Sports' Kelly Iko added.
He still has two more years remaining on his current contract, as he's set to earn $39.4 million this season before he's owed approximately $87.1 million across the 2026-27 and 2027-28 seasons.
Memphis has struggled this year, sitting at No. 10 in the Western Conference standings with a 16-21 record.
As for Morant, he's spent his entire career with the Grizzlies after they selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft.
He earned Rookie of the Year honors before leading Memphis to the playoffs on four separate occasions, although his latest season with the team hasn't gone smoothly.
On Nov. 1, the Grizzlies suspended Morant one game for conduct detrimental to the team after he appeared to express his frustrations with head coach Tuomas Iisalo when speaking to reporters after an Oct. 31 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers.
ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel reported "voice were raised" in Memphis' locker room following Morant's comments, as he was singled out by Iisalo for a "lack of effort and leadership."
Injuries have also been an issue for Morant this year, appearing in just 18 of Memphis' first 37 games while being hampered by a calf strain.
When healthy, he's averaged 19.0 points and 7.6 assists to go along with 3.2 rebounds per game. He's shooting a career-low 40.1 percent from the field and 20.8 percent from behind the arc, though.
Still, his track record could entice opposing teams into believing that a change of scenery can help him look like his former self.
