Paul KasabianJan 3, 2026

The Under Armour Next All-America Game took place on Saturday from Spec-Martin Stadium in DeLand, Florida.

This year's roster, which consisted of top high school class of 2026 and 2027 recruits, was split up into two teams: Roses and Pearls. Roses won 23-9 thanks to a pair of second-half touchdowns.

Pearls got the scoring going when quarterback Jayce Johnson (Texas A&M commit, 2027) hit wide receiver Tyren Hornes (UCF, 2026) for a 24-yard touchdown to give Pearls a 6-0 lead.

Roses tied the game at six when quarterback Peyton Houston (LSU, 2027) found wide receiver Zion White (no commitment yet, 2027) for a 23-yard touchdown on 3rd-and-goal.

The two teams traded field goals before halftime to make it a 9-9 game.

The second half was all Roses. Houston put his team up for good with a four-yard run.

Wide receiver Easton Royal (Texas, 2027) took an end-around for a two-point conversion and 17-9 lead, but he wasn't done by any means.

Royal authored the play of the day when he hauled in a 42-yard pass from quarterback Teddy Gerard (Notre Dame, 2026) for a one-handed catch and touchdown for a 23-9 edge.

This game also featured a pair of big commitments.

Hornes, a 4-star wide receiver who plays for Booker High School (Sarasota, Florida), committed to UCF over Auburn, Louisville, Georgia and Ole Miss.

Jaiden Bryant, a 5-star edge-rusher from Irmo High School in Columbia, South Carolina, announced his commitment to LSU over Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Miami and Texas A&M.

Hornes is the 26th-ranked wide receiver for the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite ranking. That list also has Bryant 34th overall among all prospects and fifth among edge-rushers.

More games showcasing the top high school talents remain on the docket, with the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl happening on Monday and the Navy All-American Bowl occurring next Saturday.
