Lane Kiffin Trolls Nick Saban, 'College GameDay' for Ole Miss vs. Georgia CFP Picks
Former Ole Miss and current LSU head football coach Lane Kiffin called out the ESPN College GameDay panel on Thursday for picking against the Rebels.
Nick Saban, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit all picked the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs to beat No. 6 Ole Miss in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal at the Sugar Bowl.
Kiffin responded with a post on X, suggesting that the panelists weren't giving enough respect to the Rebels and quarterback Trinidad Chambliss:

While Kiffin led Ole Miss to an 11-1 record and a CFP berth this season, he took the head coaching job at LSU, and is not coaching the Rebels during the CFP.
Kiffin's replacement, Pete Golding, led Ole Miss to a 41-10 win over Tulane in the first round of the CFP, setting up a quarterfinal clash with Georgia on Thursday.
Entering play on Thursday, Ole Miss was averaging 37.5 points per game this season, which is 10th in FBS.
Chambliss is a big reason for that offensive success, as the former Ferris State signal-caller has smoothly transitioned to the world of big-time college football.
In 13 games this season, Chambliss has completed 66.6 percent of his passes for 3,298 yards, 19 touchdowns and just three interceptions, while also rushing for 506 yards and eight scores.
Those numbers were good enough to earn Chambliss an eighth-place finish in the Heisman Trophy voting.
Ole Miss' only loss so far this season came against Georgia in October, as the Bulldogs prevailed 43-35.
Georgia has the No. 8 scoring defense in FBS, allowing just 15.9 points per game, and Ole Miss' 35 points were the second-most the Bulldogs allowed in a game all season.
Chambliss proved in that contest that he could produce against an elite defense, going 19-of-36 for 263 yards, one touchdown and no picks, and rushing for 42 yards and two touchdowns.
Georgia is understandably favored given that it has the better seed and already beat Ole Miss, but the Rebels showed in the previous meeting that they can go toe to toe with the Bulldogs.
Because of that, it won't necessarily be a shock if Ole Miss prevails and proves all four College GameDay analysts wrong.
