Davis was previously forced to exit the Mavericks' clash with the Golden State Warriors due to a right groin injury that he suffered while running down the floor early in the second quarter.
The 10-time All-Star appeared in just 15 of Dallas' first 31 games of the 2025-26 season before the injury against Golden State, missing time with a left calf strain.
Davis has managed several health issues in recent years, suiting up in at least 60 games during just one of the prior five seasons.
After he was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Mavericks as part of the blockbuster swap involving Luka Dončić during his 2024-25 campaign, he played in a mere nine contests following the change of scenery while dealing with a a left adductor strain and an eye injury.
This season, Davis has averaged 20.5 points and 10.9 rebounds to go along with 1.6 blocks per game. He's shooting 52.1 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from three-point territory.
The Mavericks own a record of 12-22 as they also await the return of star point guard Kyrie Irving from a torn ACL.
