Louisville CFB Players Eat Beans Out of Boca Raton Bowl Trophy After Win in Photos
Louisville had some fun with the Boca Raton Bowl trophy following a 27-22 win over Toledo on Tuesday.
Cardinals players gathered to eat a large quantity of baked beans out of the trophy after the win. The beans were provided by Bush's, the title sponsor of the game.
Actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key showcased the bowl-shaped trophy during the contest.
Tuesday's contest started off slow, as Louisville held a 7-3 lead at halftime.
The Cardinals went on to take a 21-3 advantage early in the fourth quarter, but Toledo quickly responded by cutting the deficit to 21-14.
A 53-yard rushing touchdown by Louisville running back Isaac Brown ultimately put the game out of reach, though.
Cardinals quarterback Miller Moss finished 16-of-24 for 153 yards and two touchdowns without getting picked off. Meanwhile, Brown rushed for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns on a mere 10 carries.
Louisville secured its second consecutive bowl game victory with Tuesday's result. The Cardinals have now recorded at least nine wins in all three seasons under head coach Jeff Brohm.
