Miami Beats TAMU, But Fans Question If Hurricanes Can Upset No. 2 OSU in CFP Bracket
Miami is on to the College Football Playoff quarterfinals after a slugfest against Texas A&M on Saturday.
The No. 10 Hurricanes beat the No. 7 Aggies 10-3 in a defensive battle in the first round. Both teams struggled on offense, but Miami managed to get in the end zone in the final two minutes to take the lead before intercepting A&M in the red zone on the following drive.
While the Hurricanes escaped with a win in their first-round matchup, it only gets more difficult from here. They'll face No. 2 Ohio State in the second round, and college football fans think it could be a cakewalk for the Buckeyes.
In Miami's defense, the lack of offense came against a solid Aggies defense, along with windy conditions in College Station that seriously affected the kicking game.
Still, the Hurricanes will need a complete 180 from Saturday's performance to come even close to getting past the Buckeyes' stout defense. Miami will have 11 days to figure things out before taking on Ohio State on New Year's Eve.
