Miami, TAMU's Historically Bad 1st Half Trolled by Fans After Notre Dame's CFP Snub

After two weeks of debate about Notre Dame's exclusion from the College Football Playoff, Miami and Texas A&M put together a first half that didn't exactly inspire much confidence in either side.

The Hurricanes and Aggies produced the first-ever playoff game with no points through the first two quarters.

The combined box score in the first half includes two missed field goals, one lost fumble, one turnover on downs and seven punts, leading to intense ridicule for both teams from fans and analysts.

Texas A&M can at least say it was moving the ball, sort of, with 175 total yards. The problem is 59 of those yards came on a single Mario Craver reception on a drive that ended in a blocked field goal.

Miami, which is the team that took Notre Dame's spot in the final rankings, did not come out looking like it wanted to send a message to the doubters. Mario Cristobal's offense put up 69 total yards, with Carson Beck averaging 2.4 yards per pass.
