CFP Bracket Winner Predicted by CFB Coaches, 'Biggest Fraud' Named in New Poll

College football coaches apparently have some doubts about No. 1 Indiana's legitimacy as a national championship contender.

The Athletic's Bruce Feldman shared results Wednesday from a poll of more than 24 college football coaches ahead of the start of the College Football Playoff.

According to Feldman, 92 percent of coaches chose either Georgia (50 percent) or Ohio State (42 percent) to win the second year of the expanded playoff.

Indiana and Oregon each received four percent of the vote.

One head coach from a Group of 5 team told Feldman: "I don't think there's any team that is just great this year. Or as good as Alabama or Georgia were when they won it, or even as good as Ohio State last year. Georgia's O-line has matured, so that team has taken a jump. The QB is a winner. Defensively, Georgia can play big and can match up. They're really good and they're battle-tested."

When asked to name the "biggest fraud in the field," almost two thirds of the coaches surveyed named either Ole Miss (29 percent), Texas Tech (17 percent) or Alabama (17 percent).

One Group of 5 head coach cited former Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin's departure for LSU as a "distraction," and described the Rebels' victory over Oklahoma as "probably their only good win this year."

A Big Ten defensive line coach meanwhile told Feldman about Alabama they don't "believe a three-loss team should have a shot to win a national title."

About Texas Tech, a Big 12 offensive coordinator named Red Raiders quarterback Behren's Morton "pretty poor" decision-making when describing his doubts about the team.

Alabama will look to prove it belongs in the playoff when the program kicks off the first round of the CFP against Oklahoma.

Only two teams will be left by the time the CFP championship game kicks off at Hard Rock Stadium on Jan. 19 in Miami.
