College Bowl Picks 2025-26 Recent Odds and Predictions Against the Spread on Bracket

Joe TanseyDec 14, 2025

The first round of the College Football Playoff features two rematches.

One of the two rematches pits the Ole Miss Rebels against the Tulane Green Wave. Ole Miss won the September 20 meeting in Oxford by 35 points. Ole Miss is a 17.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook for the December 20 showdown.

Tulane was more competitive with other power-conference teams in 2025, but the gap between the Green Wave and one of the SEC's top teams might be too much for the American Conference champion.

The other rematch pits the Alabama Crimson Tide and Oklahoma Sooners against each other. The SEC foes played a tight game on November 15 that was won by Brent Venables' Sooners.

No. 11 Tulane at No. 6 Ole Miss (-17.5)

Tulane v Ole Miss

Ole Miss ran rampant on the Tulane defense back in September.

The Rebels totaled 548 yards. Trinidad Chambliss threw for 307 yards and ran for 112 more in the 45-10 victory.

Kewan Lacy also put up 68 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground.

Chambliss and Lacy have the potential to do the same on December 20.

Tulane played better after the loss in Oxford, but its defense has allowed over 20 points in four of the last six games.

The Green Wave need to score with their SEC opponent in order to at least stay within the 17.5-point spread.

Ole Miss held six opponents under 20 points in its 11 victories, so it is possible that a blowout occurs on Saturday.

History is not on Tulane's side either, as the last two Group of Five playoff participants lost by 23 and 17 points.

Prediction: Ole Miss (-17.5)

No. 9 Alabama (-1.5) at No. 8 Oklahoma

Oklahoma v Alabama

The four home sides all won by double digits in the first edition of the 12-team CFB Playoff a year ago.

That's a trend that bodes well for Oklahoma on Friday night at home against Alabama.

The Sooners already beat the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, and now they come home to a stadium in which they went 3-1 against Top 25 foes.

Oklahoma's lone home loss to a Top 25 team, though, came against fellow playoff team Ole Miss.

Alabama went 4-2 against ranked opposition in SEC play, but the two losses came in the most-recent Top 25 clashes to Oklahoma on November 15 and in the SEC Championship Game against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Alabama's offensive showing in Atlanta was concerning to say the least, and now, it faces an Oklahoma defense that only gives up 13.9 points per game.

The Sooners' recent experience with Alabama's offense combined with the Crimson Tide's recent struggles make this a nice spot to take the Sooners as a slight home underdog.

Prediction: Oklahoma (+1.5)
