OSU's Jeremiah Smith Reacts to Biletnikoff Award Snub with 'Paid in Full' Video Clip

Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith was a finalist for this year's Biletnikoff award, given to college football's most outstanding receiver, but the honor ultimately went to USC's Makai Lemon.

Soon after that news dropped, Smith posted this clip on social media from the 2002 movie Paid in Full (language is NSFW):

Clearly, Smith isn't happy with the snub, but he's using that as fuel for Ohio State's College Football Playoff appearance and national championship title defense.

Smith has been tremendous at Ohio State over his two years in Columbus. In 2024, Smith caught 76 passes for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 47 rushing yards and another score on the ground in 16 games. His five-catch, 88-yard, one-touchdown game in the national championship propelled Ohio State to a 34-24 win over Notre Dame.

This year, Smith has excelled once again, catching 80 passes for 1,086 yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 games. His season has included five 100-yard games, including 144 yards in the Big Ten Championship vs. Indiana.

Ohio State lost that game 13-10 but will enter the CFP as the No. 2 seed. The Buckeyes await the first round winner of Texas A&M and Miami in the quarterfinals (Cotton Bowl Classic).

Ultimately, Smith made a great case to be the Biletnikoff Award winner, but Lemon took the honor after catching 79 passes for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns. The other finalist was UConn's Skyler Bell (101 catches, 1,278 yards, 13 TD).

Smith will now use the miss on the award as fuel for the team's title run. OSU's quarterfinal game will be in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 31 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
