
Warde Manuel Reportedly Will Remain Michigan AD After Sherrone Moore Firing
Warde Manuel will remain as Michigan's athletic director, per Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports.
Dellenger released that report one day after former football head coach Sherrone Moore was fired for cause.

"Following a University investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member," per a school statement. "This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy."
As Michigan searches for a new coach, Biff Poggi is serving as the Wolverines' interim leader while the team prepares for the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31 against Texas.
Manuel, 57, has been Michigan's athletic director since 2016. Prior to then, Manuel was Buffalo's AD from 2005-2012 before moving to UConn to be the school's AD from 2012-2016.
Manuel played football for three seasons at Michigan before a neck injury ended his career, forcing him to miss his 1989 senior season. He switched to track-and-field and graduated from the school in 1990 before later adding a pair of graduate degrees (master's in social work in 1993 and an MBA in 2005).
