The post expressed a desire for his kids to one day acknowledge him as someone who "never quit."
Kiffin made the post less than two weeks after accepting the head coaching job at LSU and ending his final season at Ole Miss prematurely despite leading the Rebels to an 11-1 record and their first College Football Playoff berth.
While Kiffin had expressed his hope to coach Ole Miss through the playoff, he was instead replaced by defensive coordinator Pete Golding, who was promoted to head coach.
Kiffin already had a link to LSU before taking the job since his oldest daughter, Landry, is dating LSU linebacker Whit Weeks.
Assuming Weeks remains with the Tigers, Kiffin will have the chance to coach him next season.
Kiffin is about to embark on his fifth different stop as a collegiate head coach, and he is coming off his best season ever at Ole Miss.
While he has some work to do with an LSU squad that went just 7-5 during the regular season, Kiffin will have the resources needed to potentially build something special in Baton Rouge.
