Tyrann Mathieu Recruits Bryce Underwood to LSU After Michigan Fires Sherrone Moore

Former NFL and LSU safety Tyrann Mathieu made his pitch for star quarterback Bryce Underwood to ditch Michigan in favor of LSU on Wednesday.

His post on social media comes in the wake of Michigan firing head coach Sherrone Moore. Underwood had originally been an LSU commit but flipped to Michigan in Nov. 2024.

The freshman quarterback threw for 2,229 yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions this season, adding 323 yards and five scores on the ground.

Michigan finished 9-3 and missed out on the College Football Playoff. Instead, the team will face Texas in the Citrus Bowl. It remains to be seen if the team's top players, including Underwood, might depart via the transfer portal this offseason after Wednesday's coaching shakeup.
