College Bowl Picks 2025-26 Latest Odds and Predictions Against the Spread

Only five teams ranked inside the top 10 of the preseason AP Top 25 qualified for the College Football Playoff.

The Miami Hurricanes are one of those five teams, but they also took a circuitous route to the playoff as a two-loss team.

Miami goes on the road on December 20 to face the Texas A&M Aggies, the preseason No. 19 who spent most of the regular season in the top 10.

A pair of preseason top-10 teams will face off in the postseason, but not in a playoff matchup. The Penn State Nittany Lions and Clemson Tigers finish their disappointing seasons with a head-to-head showdown in the Pinstripe Bowl.

The Pinstripe Bowl takes place on the same day as one of three non-playoff Top 25 bowl matchups.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and BYU Cougars were in the playoff mix at some point, but they've settled for a showdown in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

No. 10 Miami at No. 7 Texas A&M (-3.5)

Miami landed in the CFB Playoff as the final at-large team after a weeks-long debate about whether its head-to-head win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish would matter.

That result did matter in the end and allowed the Hurricanes to earn the No. 10 seed and a trip to College Station on December 20.

A&M had a shot at a first-round bye, but it squandered that chance with a loss to the Texas Longhorns.

There were a handful of warning signs from the Texas loss that could apply to the Miami game.

A&M turned the ball over twice, allowed 6.2 yards per rush and conceded 397 total yards. The Aggies also had four turnovers two weeks prior in a come-from-behind win over the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Miami's defense forced 1.7 turnovers per game and it has a pair of defensive backs with four interceptions each this season.

A&M quarterback Marcel Reed threw multiple interceptions in three of his last five games, including in the loss to Texas and the close win over South Carolina.

If Miami forces multiple turnovers at Kyle Field, it has a strong chance to not just compete with the Aggies, but come away with a victory.

Prediction: Miami 3.5

Pinstripe Bowl: Penn State vs. Clemson (-3)

A handful of people might have though Penn State would play Clemson for a national championship.

Instead, they'll face each other at Yankee Stadium on December 27.

The two teams combined to go 13-11, but both sides finished the regular season on winning streaks. Clemson won four straight, while Penn State won its last three to become bowl eligible.

When both teams won, their defenses were excellent. Clemson held every opponent under 20 points in each of its seven wins. Penn State did the same in five of its six victories.

The strong defensive play combined with potential opt-outs for offensive stars on both sides could make the Pinstripe Bowl an ugly game to watch.

The Over/Under currently sits at 48.5 and could drop in the two weeks leading up to the contest.

Prediction: Under 48.5

Pop-Tarts Bowl: Georgia Tech vs. BYU (-4.5)

The Pop-Tarts Bowl has the potential to be one of the most fun bowl games.

BYU consistently put up scores in the 30s and 40s behind freshman quarterback Bear Bachmeier.

Georgia Tech did the same with their experienced dual-threat quarterback Haynes King leading the offense.

Georgia Tech's ultimate downfall was its defense that let up over 40 points in two losses to the NC State Wolfpack and Pittsburgh Panthers.

The gaps in the Yellow Jackets defense could allow Bachmeier and Co. to run rampant on December 27.

Georgia Tech is more than capable of scoring with BYU, which makes the Over 56.5 a fascinating bet, provided that everyone plays.
