Xbox Reveals Matchup, Location, Date, TV Info For Historic CFB Bowl Game

The college football bowl game schedule will have a new addition, as details of the first-ever Xbox Bowl were revealed on Thursday.

ESPN announced in a release that the Xbox Bowl will be played at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 9 p.m. ET, featuring the Sun Belt's Arkansas State against Conference USA's Missouri State, which is making its first-ever bowl game appearance.

"We're proud to welcome Xbox as the title sponsor of this bowl game as their brand aligns perfectly with the excitement and energy of college football and especially the Bowl Season," Sean Johnson, Executive Director of the Xbox Bowl, said in the release. "Plus, we couldn't be more excited to have the opportunity to host two great football teams to experience the Xbox Bowl."

Missouri State, which is in its inaugural season in Conference USA and the FBS, earned bowl eligibility by finishing the regular season with a 7-5 record. The Bears are led by senior quarterback Jacob Clark, who's thrown for 2,895 yards, 24 touchdowns and 11 interceptions this season.

Arkansas State went 6-6 this year to earn its third straight appearance in a bowl game. Junior quarterback Jaylen Raynor has thrown for 3,073 yards, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while also adding seven rushing scores.

The Xbox Bowl replaced the Bahamas Bowl in Nassau, Bahamas, and will be one of 17 bowl games broadcast by ESPN.
