What Is Giannis' Timeline for Injury Return? Latest Updates amid Bucks Trade Rumors
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss two to four weeks as a result of the right calf strain he suffered Wednesday night, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
Antetokounmpo's health has been a major storyline this season, as he missed time with a groin strain in November. Then he went down in Milwaukee's 113-109 win over the Detroit Pistons.
The calf injury came on the same day Charania reported he and his representation were holding talks with the Bucks about "whether his best fit is staying or a move elsewhere."
The trade rumors add another layer to any Antetokounmpo setback, as any potential suitors will surely want him to be healthy before the stretch run and playoffs.
Still, he is one of the best players of his generation with a resume that includes a championship, NBA Finals MVP, two league MVPs, a Defensive Player of the Year and nine All-NBA selections.
Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists while shooting 63.9 percent from the field this season.
While the Bucks don't have anyone else who can replicate the impact of the future Hall of Famer, look for the combination of Kyle Kuzma and Bobby Portis to see more playing time.
