Georgia Football Recruiting 2025, Kirby Smart's Top Commits Landed and Predictions
The Georgia Bulldogs experienced the most significant change to their recruiting class of 2026 among the top programs in college football.
Georgia lost the commitment of No. 3 overall prospect Jared Curtis on Tuesday. The Nashville native decided to stay home with the Vanderbilt Commodores instead of joining Kirby Smart's program.
The loss of Curtis dropped Georgia from No. 3 to No. 6 in 247Sports' team rankings for the class of 2026.
Georgia still has a talented recruiting class coming to Athens, but it no longer includes a top-five prospect.
Georgia's Top Commits
Valdin Sone, DL, Blue Ridge School (VA)
Georgia's top-ranked recruit, and only five-star player in the class of 2026, is defensive lineman Valdin Sone.
Sone is the No. 28 overall recruit in the country, per 247Sports' player rankings, and he is the second-best player at his position.
Sone, a native of Sweden, has the potential to be the next great lineman in a pipeline that has sent Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis and others to the NFL in the Smart era.
He is one of eight defensive line commits in UGA's class of 2026 and one of three four-or-five-star recruits headed to Athens on the defensive line.
Ekene Ogboko, OT, South Garner HS (NC)
After Curtis' decommitment, Ekene Ogboko's is now Georgia's highest-rated offensive recruit in the class of 2026.
Ogboko is a four-star offensive tackle who is rated as the fourth-best player in North Carolina.
Georgia is bringing in five offensive linemen in total with this class. Ogboko is the only one with a high overall rating.
Ogboko is a highly-rated run blocker who should have an impact on UGA's offense early in his collegiate career.
Craig Dandridge, WR, Cambridge HS (GA)
Craig Dandridge is the best in-state player UGA signed in the class of 2026.
He is also the top offensive skill position player signed to the Bulldogs.
The four-star recruit had 18 touchdowns in his senior season at Cambridge High School.
Dandridge is one of 16 in-state players committed to Georgia. Three of the top five in-state players could make an impact on UGA's offense in 2026.
