Manchester United v Paris Saint-Germain

Angel Di Maria may yet leave Manchester United's tour as a rival player, with rumours suggesting the Argentina international will join Paris Saint-Germain in the coming week.
United take on PSG at Soldier Field, Illinois on July 30, with Darren Lewis of the Mirror reporting ADM will transfer to the wealthy French club for £45.9 million.
Di Maria missed the start of the Red Devils tour of the USA—after being given an extended break—after Copa America duty, but it seems he might not feature for the club again.

The winger had a troubled first season at Old Trafford, suffering from a dramatic dip in form and several minor injuries—which consigned him to the touchline.
However, Di Maria still produced a colourful set of statistics, providing 10 assists in his 27 EPL appearances, per WhoScored.com.
But it seems the player and his family have failed to settle in the north-west countryside, and the bright lights of Paris may seem a viable alternative to the player.

United have spent their USA tour blooding their new signings, with Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay and Matteo Darmian all making their first bows for Louis van Gaal.
Schneiderlin and Memphis have both found the net during pre-season, with Darmian looking busy at right-back.
However, Schweinsteiger has been singled out by his new coach for his below par showing against the San Jose Earthquakes, as reported by FourFourTwo:
"He [Schweinsteiger] was also bad. There was one highlight I think and that was Pereira [the goal]. Players can play bad and certainly when you have only three days or six days training sessions in your legs and you have to play 45 minutes. Everybody can say that it's easy to step in but it is not easy. I think the first match he played very well, and now he played bad. But that is also a process and certainly when you only have one week of training.
"

With the potential exit of Di Maria, the focus has been very much on the use of Memphis and LvG's tactics. The Dutch coach has reverted from the 4-1-4-1 he used at the end of last season to a more fluid 4-2-3-1, with Michael Carrick partnering Schneiderlin in central midfield.
Memphis has been given the freedom to roam behind Wayne Rooney, who has seen his minutes on the pitch utilised as the centre-forward.
Depay was sensational for PSV Eindhoven last season, netting 22 goals in 30 Dutch league appearances, per WhoScored, and it seems he will be given the task to replace Robin van Persie—who left for Fenerbahce—in United's forward line.
The PSG match will be hugely significant for the Red Devils—especially if Di Maria makes the jump to the Parisian team. His first game for PSG could be against United, and the irony will not be lost on anyone.
With the inclusion of Memphis, and the continued improvement of Ashley Young on the left, ADM will not likely be missed by United in the short-term, but Van Gaal will need to sign a different kind of world-class player if the former Galactico departs—as he looks to turn his squad into champions.
