Kalen DeBoer, Alabama Beat Auburn in Iron Bowl, Excite Fans with SEC Title Game Berth

Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide narrowly defeated Auburn 27-20 on the road Saturday, escaping the Iron Bowl with a victory.

The win was sealed on a fumble with just over 30 seconds remaining, as Ty Simpson threw for 122 yards and three touchdowns all to Isaiah Horton.

With the victory, Alabama will advance to face Georgia in the SEC Championship. The Crimson Tide picked up their lone top-10 win this season with a thrilling 24-21 victory over No. 5 Georgia on Sept. 27, giving them confidence heading into the matchup.

Fans reacted to Alabama's gutsy performance to advance to the SEC Championship game.

Alabama wrapped up its regular season 10-2, 7-1 in the SEC, with losses to unranked Florida State in Week 1 (31-17) and to No. 11 Oklahoma in a major upset on Nov. 15. They also notched three other top-25 wins over No. 16 Vanderbilt, No. 14 Missouri and No. 11 Tennessee.

If Alabama remains at No. 10, they would face No. 7 Ole Miss on the road in the CFP.

The SEC Championship is scheduled for Dec. 6 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
