CFB Playoff Picture, Standings and Bracket Predictions After Week 14 of 2025-26 Season

Joe TanseyNov 29, 2025

The 12-team College Football Playoff field is starting to take shape.

The Saturday wins by the Oregon Ducks and Oklahoma Sooners essentially confirmed their spots in the playoff. The Ole Miss Rebels did the same with their Egg Bowl triumph on Friday.

Although the Texas A&M Aggies lost on Friday, they are locked into a playoff spot as well at 11-1 with no appearance in the SEC Championship Game.

The Alabama Crimson Tide will play the Georgia Bulldogs in Atlanta next Saturday. Alabama confirmed that with a win over the Auburn Tigers.

Alabama's playoff status will come under question in the next week because it resides in the last at-large spot.

Texas A&M Loses, Locked Into Playoff Field

Texas A&M's loss on Friday took it out of the SEC Championship Game, but it also confirmed the Aggies' spot in the CFB Playoff.

The Aggies entered Week 14 as the third-ranked team in the CFB Playoff rankings.

A&M will likely drop around the No. 6-7 spot, but instead of receiving a first-round bye, it will host an opening-round game in College Station.

With A&M denied a trip to Atlanta, the Georgia Bulldogs are locked in to the conference title game, where they will face either Alabama or Ole Miss.

Alabama confirmed the matchup against Georgia on Saturday night. Bama needs to win that game to feel comfortable about its playoff position.

A loss would likely knock the Crimson Tide out because that result would give them three losses.

Oregon, Ole Miss, Oklahoma Lock Up Playoff Spots

LSU v Oklahoma

Oregon, Ole Miss and Oklahoma locked up playoff spots with wins on Friday and Saturday.

Oklahoma faced the toughest competition in Week 14, as it needed a late touchdown to beat the LSU Tigers at home.

Ole Miss and Oregon both won by double digits against the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Washington Huskies.

None of the three teams qualified for their conference championship games, so they can't lose any ground in the CFB Playoff rankings.

All three schools are in line to host first-round games, along with Texas A&M.

The only result that could change if Oregon, Ole Miss or Oklahoma play at home is if Alabama wins the SEC Championship Game and moves up multiple spots from No. 10.

Ohio State, Indiana Set Up Showdown for No. 1 Overall Seed

Ohio State v Michigan

The Ohio State Buckeyes and Indiana Hoosiers will play for the No. 1 overall seed in next week's Big Ten Championship Game.

Ohio State kept its undefeated season going with a double-digit win over the Michigan Wolverines that ended a four-game losing streak in the rivalry.

Indiana routed the Purdue Boilermakers on Friday night to confirm the first leg of the No. 1-versus-No. 2 showdown.

With Texas A&M losing, it is likely that the Ohio State-Indiana is still ranked in the top four.

The top four will be Ohio State, Indiana, Georgia and Texas Tech if UGA and Tech win their conference title games.
