Well, the Cristiano Ronaldo rumour was short-lived.
The Manchester Evening News' Samuel Luckhurst reported Thursday that Manchester United were working to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford. As that particular rumour is seemingly a monthly exercise, it was quickly shot down.
Madrid manager Rafa Benitez fired down the rumour that Real Madrid's star man would be sold. Also, in Mirror Sport, Paris Saint-Germain still believe they can land Angel Di Maria from United:
