When Will Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga, Draymond Green, Al Horford Return from Injuries?

Timothy RappNov 24, 2025

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told reporters on Sunday that Jonathan Kuminga was "not moving well" due to bilateral patellar tendinitis in his knee and has "no idea when he's gonna play."

On Monday, the team announced that Draymond Green will miss Monday's game against the Utah Jazz with a right foot sprain and Al Horford is out at least a week with sciatic nerve irritation. Kuminga also won't play.

Kerr said Sunday that Kuminga wasn't able to scrimmage and that the injury was "worse than what we thought."

Kerr also noted that Kuminga "kinda" practiced and did "a few things" on Sunday.

The 23-year-old will miss his sixth straight game on Monday against the Jazz. His injury wasn't initially considered serious but has now kept him out of action since Nov. 12.

"I can't tell you what the outlook is," Kerr said on the status of the injury. "[Kuminga] can tell you that better than I could. So he needs to feel better and be able to move better before we put him out there. Maybe we'll get imaging done on the knee. Yeah, we've got to figure it out. We've missed him."

The Warriors have gone 2-3 since the injury, losing three in a row.

Kuminga has averaged 13.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game across 13 contests, shooting 47.8 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from three. After being moved to the bench last season, the Warriors moved him back to the starting lineup due to his strong play before the injury.

Now, uncertainty hovers around his timeline to return, and it comes at a rough time, with Horford and Green also out for Monday's game.
