After Julian Sayin and the Ohio State Buckeyes handed unranked Rutgers a 42-9 loss in Columbus on Saturday, they now sit one win away from completing an undefeated regular season.

The catch? Their final opponent is the one program they haven't been able to solve. Ohio State is 0-4 against the Michigan Wolverines since 2021 and hasn't beaten them since 2019.

Michigan is riding a four-game winning streak and will look to make it five straight after facing unranked Maryland later Saturday. The Wolverines' only losses have come against Oklahoma and USC.

With Michigan needing a win to strengthen its College Football Playoff hopes at No. 18, the Wolverines are going to bring the house next week against Ohio State.

Ohio State's Sayin threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns while completing 13-of-19 passes against Rutgers on Saturday. He was replaced in the fourth quarter by junior Lincoln Kienholz with the blowout brewing. Bo Jackson finished with 110 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Ohio State was called out for lack of focus early against Rutgers after taking a narrow 14-3 lead at the half and not being aggressive enough on offense to put the game away as expected against the 5-5 Big Ten team.

The Buckeyes flipped the script after halftime—the secondary allowed one touchdown in the fourth, while the offense exploded for 28 second-half points to break the game open.
