Bill Belichick is used to being cheered on as one of the greatest football coaches in the sport's history, but he was the one doing the cheering Sunday.

As Natasha Dye of People relayed, social media users shared photographs of the North Carolina head coach supporting his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, when she was competing in a cheerleading event:

Hudson, who won a national cheerleading competition in 2021, competed for Code Black, which is a competitive cheerleading team based in North Carolina.

The competition occurred the day after the Tar Heels lost 28-12 to Wake Forest to fall to 4-6 on the season and 2-4 in ACC play.

It surely hasn't been the season Belichick was hoping for, although North Carolina had been playing better prior to Saturday's result. It defeated Syracuse and Stanford in back-to-back games after losing to Virginia in overtime by a single point in the previous three contests.

That was a notable improvement from blowout losses to TCU, UCF and Clemson earlier in the season.

Belichick's squad must defeat rivals Duke and NC State to finish the regular season to become bowl eligible.
