Will LeBron James, Steph Curry Play for USA in 2028 Olympics? NBA Stars Reveal Status
It sounds like the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris was the last time that Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will team up on the international level.
During an episode of the Mind the Game podcast, James firmly declared that he will not be participating in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. For his part, Curry said, "Never say never, but I highly doubt it."

James is turning 41 next month, so his legendary playing days are nearing their end. Curry is 37 and previously said he would want to play in the 2028 Olympics, but only if he can physically contribute to the team.
James and Curry helped lead Team USA to a fifth straight Olympic gold medal while looking like a match made in heaven. It was their first time playing together for an extended period outside of All-Star Games, as Curry was making his Olympics debut.
Team USA's last two wins over Serbia and France, in particular, gave James the solace he needs to end his Olympic career.
"We can't top what we just did. How are we gonna top those last two games? And just the moment, we can't top those last two games," he said. "We literally played France in Paris for the final. It would've been like in '08, during the Redeem Team, if we would've played China in the final."
Fans would've certainly enjoyed more chances to see Curry and James perform on the Olympic stage, but it sounds like last year's instant-classic run to the gold medal will have to suffice.
