College Football Week 13 Top 25 Picks, Odds, Box Score Predictions, Rankings, Schedule

Joe TanseyNov 17, 2025

Two old Pac-12 rivals turned Big Ten foes face each other in Week 13's highest-profile game.

The Oregon Ducks host the USC Trojans in what will serve as a College Football Playoff elimination game for both teams.

Oregon is safely in the 12-team field right now, but it can't afford any losses this late in the regular season

USC is lurking in the middle of the CFB Playoff rankings. It needs a road win in Eugene plus a lot of help from the Big 12 and SEC to earn a playoff bid.

One of the teams USC needs to lose is the BYU Cougars.

BYU can confirm its spot in the Big 12 Championship Game with a road victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday night.

2 of 3
Minnesota v Oregon

Oregon is currently on a four-game winning streak that started the week after it lost to the Indiana Hoosiers.

The 9-1 Ducks are quietly about to confirm their spot in the CFB Playoff field, but they have to get past USC first.

USC poses a huge threat to the Oregon defense with its aerial attack, led by wide receiver Makai Lemon, who is arguably the best pass-catcher in college football.

Lemon is coming off back-to-back double-digit reception and 150-yard-plus performances.

Oregon must find a way to contain Lemon to prevent Saturday's game becoming a shootout and too close for comfort.

The way Oregon does that is to force Jayden Maiava into turnovers. The USC quarterback had three interceptions in the Trojans' two defeats.

Oregon owns the best passing defense in the FBS. It allows just 127.3 passing yards per game, but it did give up 215 yards through the air in its loss to Indiana.

If USC can unlock open spaces in the Oregon secondary, the Trojans will have a chance to earn a marquee win and potentially sneak into the playoff.

Lemon can be contained, but he is going to break a few big plays, and that makes USC an interesting underdog at 9.5.

Oregon has the offensive firepower to match USC and win the game, but the Trojans will pour everything into the game with their playoff life on the line.

Prediction: USC ( 9.5)

No. 11 BYU (-2.5) at Cincinnati

3 of 3
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NOV 15 TCU at BYU

BYU's trip to Cincinnati lost some national appeal after Cincinnati lost to the Arizona Wildcats in Week 12.

BYU and the Texas Tech Red Raiders are now the only one-loss teams in Big 12 play. BYU just needs to win its last two games to set up a rematch with Texas Tech instead of having to rely on tiebreakers.

Cincinnati can cause chaos in the Big 12 standings with a win. It is one of four two-loss teams in league play. BYU would be a fifth two-loss team if it falls to the Bearcats.

That result seems unlikely, though, with how Cincinnati is trending. The Bearcats are on a two-game losing streak in which they conceded 75 points.

Cincy quarterback Brendan Sorsby went 26-for-61 with three interceptions in the two losses. That's nowhere good enough for the Bearcats to be competitive.

BYU's offensive momentum was only stunted by Texas Tech. It rebounded from the loss to the Red Raiders with a 44-13 thumping of the TCU Horned Frogs.

BYU is the better team, and with the way Cincinnati is playing, it's hard not to bet the Cougars on the road on such a small point spread.

Prediction: BYU (-2.5)
