What Is Jaxson Dart's Injury Status for Giants vs. Lions This Week?
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is making progress toward a potential return from the concussion protocol.
Interim coach Mike Kafka told reporters Wednesday that Dart is scheduled to participate in non-contact practice and is seemingly on track to play Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions if he doesn't suffer a setback.
Dart suffered a concussion during the Giants' Week 10 loss to the Chicago Bears. Russell Wilson entered the game for the rookie and was unable to protect the lead.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
ESPN's Jordan Raanan reported it was the fourth time the Ole Miss product was evaluated for a concussion this season counting the preseason.
Dart was then ruled out for the following week's game against the Green Bay Packers, although New York decided to start Jameis Winston instead of Wilson.
The Giants are playing out the string on a lost season, so they will undoubtedly use caution when it comes to any injury for their starting signal-caller. The No. 25 overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft has played well enough in his first season to establish himself as the franchise quarterback, and keeping him healthy in the long term is more important than the results of the late-season games.
He took over as the starter for Wilson after the first three games of the campaign and defeated the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles during the course of his first three games. While the winning didn't continue, he has still played well overall while completing 62.7 percent of his passes for 1,417 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Dart also has 317 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground as a runner.
The Giants will likely continue to rely on Winston under center if Dart doesn't return for the Lions game.
