Latest Heisman Trophy 2025 Odds as Fernando Mendoza Rises, Ty Simpson Falls

A pair of varying performances changed the odds of the 2025 Heisman Trophy race on Saturday.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza owns the highest odds to take home Heisman Trophy honors at -115 following the Hooisers' 31-7 win over Wisconsin. Meanwhile, Alabama signal-caller Ty Simpson's odds dropped to +15000 after the Crimson Tide suffered a surprising 23-21 loss at the hands of Oklahoma.

Mendoza was extremely efficient in the win over the Badgers, finishing 22-of-24 for 299 yards and four touchdowns without getting picked off.

He already entered Saturday's action as a top Heisman contender, completing 71.3 percent of his throws for 2,342 yards in his first 10 games. Mendoza's 26 touchdown passes were tied for the most in the country while he only tossed five interceptions.

Although he didn't find the end zone against Wisconsin, he's also picked up five rushing touchdowns this year.

As for Simpson, he struggled to take care of the ball during Alabama's narrow loss to Oklahoma.

He finished 28-of-42 for 326 yards and a touchdown to go along with an interception. Simpson also lost a fumble in Alabama's territory late in the third quarter, setting the Sooners up to kick a go-ahead field goal that ultimately proved to be the difference in the game.

The Crimson Tide fell to No. 4 in the SEC standings with the defeat.
