No. 7 Ole Miss came back to defeat Florida by the final score of 34-24 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday night.

Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin's squad was able to emerge victorious over a Gators team with a coaching vacancy that he was previously linked to.

Ole Miss secured the win with a fourth-down stop of Florida's offense and prevented them from drying down the field for a game-tying score with just under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Fans were impressed with the performance.

The Rebels opened Saturday's contest with a 10-0 edge, but the Gators responded with a five-yard rushing touchdown by DJ Lagway before an interception from Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss set up Florida near the goal line.

Gators running back Jadan Baugh found the end zone for a two-yard score, giving them a 14-10 lead.

Both teams traded touchdowns and field goals on their next four combined possessions, leading to Florida entering halftime with a 24-20 advantage.

The Rebels' defensive intensity picked up in the second half, as the Gators were held scoreless over the final two quarters of the contest.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss finally jumped back in front after Kewan Lacy found the end zone to cap off an 86-yard touchdown drive early in the fourth quarter.

The Gators responded by driving into the Rebels' territory, but a third-down pass from Lagway was tipped by Suntarine Perkins and intercepted by Wydett Williams Jr. to prevent Florida from putting any points on the board.

Ole Miss was able to drive down near the end zone, but turned the ball over on downs just before the goal line. The Rebels' defense held firm to preserve the win, though.

Lacy was stellar throughout the game, compiling a career-high 224 rush yards on 31 carries. He also scored three touchdowns.

Chambliss bounced back from his early interception, finishing 26-of-35 for 301 yards and a touchdown.

As for Lagway, he went 16-of-31 for 218 yards and one touchdown while getting picked off once. He also rushed for 34 yards and a score.

Ole Miss improved to 10-1 with the win, crossing the 10-win threshold for the third consecutive season under Kiffin.
