Cooper Flagg Ties LeBron History, Giannis & Bucks Beat Mavs as Fans Bash Nico Harrison

Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks fell 116–114 to Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks at home on Monday.

With the loss, the Mavericks dropped to 3–8 as pressure continues to mount on general manager Nico Harrison, whose job security has become a growing topic among fans.

Flagg had a breakout performance, leading the way with a career-high 26 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals while shooting an efficient 60 percent from the field. P.J. Washington added 16 points and seven rebounds, while Brandon Williams chipped in 19 points and six boards.

Flagg's stat line also put him in elite company, as Tim MacMahon of ESPN noted:

Antetokounmpo paced the Bucks with 30 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three blocks, but Milwaukee couldn't close it out on the road, falling to 7–4.

Following the loss, frustration from Mavericks fans grew louder as many continued calling for Harrison's dismissal.

In a tightly contested matchup, the Mavericks held a narrow 57–53 lead over the Bucks at halftime, with Flagg tallying 12 points in the opening half. Milwaukee's Antetokounmpo entered the break with nine points.

The Mavericks took an 88–79 lead behind a balanced offensive effort. Milwaukee battled back in the fourth, and with the game on the line in the final seconds, back-to-back baskets from Kyle Kuzma and Ryan Rollins helped the Bucks reclaim the lead. However, a late foul on Washington gave Dallas a chance to tie it at the line, but he converted just one of three free throws, sealing the narrow win for Milwaukee.

The Mavericks will host the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
