Deion Sanders Names Julian Lewis as Colorado's QB1 for Rest of 2025 CFB Season
Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders has named freshman Julian Lewis as his team's starting quarterback for the remainder of the season, beginning Saturday against West Virginia.
Jared Greenberg of TNT Sports relayed the news on Lewis prior to the start of Colorado's road matchup with the Mountaineers.
Lewis saw limited action in two games leading into Saturday, completing 11-of-21 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed three times for eight yards.

Report: 24-Team CFP Gaining Steam
The 5-star prospect out of Carrollton (Georgia) High School arrived in Boulder this season. Kaidon Salter has taken the majority of the team's snaps behind center, with Ryan Staub also getting some looks.
However, the future is now in Colorado as Lewis gets the opportunity to showcase his talents for the remainder of the season.
This has been a tough campaign for Colorado, which entered the West Virginia game with a 3-6 record. The Buffaloes could win out and become eligible for a bowl game, but it's a far cry from last year, when the team was in contention for a Big 12 title and finished 25th in the final Associated Press poll.
Lewis can go a long way toward bringing the program back to greater heights. He and the Buffaloes have an upcoming bye week before finishing the regular season at home against Arizona State and on the road versus Kansas State.
