Texas Tech Debuts Patrick Mahomes-Inspired 'Too Cold' Uniforms vs. BYU in New Photos
The Texas Tech Red Raiders showed off the "Too Cold" uniforms they are wearing for their huge Big 12 clash with the BYU Cougars on Saturday.
Inspired by former Texas Tech and current Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the unis feature white helmets, jerseys and pants. The helmet logo and numbers are silver outlined with red, and there are silver stripes with red outlines on the sleeves:

The jerseys bear Mahomes' signature gladiator logo on the upper left, marking a collaboration between Adidas, Mahomes and Texas Tech.
Last month, Texas Tech unveiled its Mahomes "Galvanized" uniforms, which were gray with red accents and also had the Mahomes gladiator logo emblazoned on the chest.
Per ESPN's Anthony Gharib, Adidas and Texas Tech struck a 10-year partnership back in July, leading to the creation of the Texas Tech x Patrick Mahomes collection.
The "Too Cold" unis are the latest creation to come from that working relationship, and they are being worn in one of the Red Raiders' biggest games in years.
Entering Saturday, Texas Tech was 8-1 on the season, while BYU was a perfect 8-0. They are also the top two teams in the Big 12 standings.
A loss would knock Texas Tech down to 5-2 in Big 12 play, meaning it would not control its own destiny in terms of reaching the Big 12 Championship Game.
However, a Texas Tech win would make the Red Raiders, Cougars and Cincinnati Bearcats all one-loss teams in the Big 12.
It is possible Saturday's clash between Texas Tech and BYU at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas, is a preview of the Big 12 Championship Game.
If the teams do meet again with the Big 12 title on the line, both would be playing for their first-ever trip to the College Football Playoff as well.
With the Chiefs on their bye week, Mahomes was in attendance for Saturday's contest, providing some extra support to his alma mater.
Mahomes is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history with three Super Bowl wins, three Super Bowl MVP awards and two NFL MVP awards to his credit.
He also had a great collegiate career at Texas Tech before the Chiefs selected him 10th overall in the 2017 NFL draft.
Although he went only 13-16 as a starter at Texas Tech, he racked up 11,252 yards, 93 touchdowns and 29 interceptions through the air as the leader of a high-powered passing offense.
Texas Tech is a far more complete team than it was during Mahomes' tenure, and a win Saturday would help the Red Raiders take another huge step toward national title contention.
