Austin Reaves Feels He Made History with Lobs to Bronny and LeBron on Lakers in Video
Los Angeles Lakers star Austin Reaves helped second-year guard Bronny James score his first points of the season with an emphatic alley-oop slam in the first quarter of Sunday night's win over the Miami Heat, and he feels he should go down in the history books.
Reaves, who also routinely fed star forward LeBron James lob passes over the last few years, told reporters after the 130-120 victory that he is likely the only player to complete alley-oops to father and son teammates.
"I've got to be the first person in NBA history to throw a father a lob and a son a lob. I don't know, that's gotta be right, at least while they were still on the same team," Reaves said with a laugh. "It was cool, I told 'Bron that as soon as I checked out after that. It was a pretty special moment."

Prior to Sunday's outing, Bronny James had played sparingly in his three appearances this season and failed to convert on his three attempts from the field. Reaves made things easier for him with a sky-high lob pass that the 21-year-old slammed home, his only bucket in the game after shooting 1-of-4.
The Lakers have been without the elder James for the entire season so far while he recovers from sciatica. They still managed to improve to 5-2 and extend their winning streak to three straight games with Sunday's victory.
Los Angeles will have a quick turnaround when it visits the Portland Trail Blazers (4-2) on Monday night, so perhaps Reaves and Bronny James will have more opportunities to work on their connection.
