Joel Embiid Trolls Wizards Fans with DX Chop Celebration in Video After 76ers' OT Win
Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid responded in kind to a Washington Wizards fan who had been taunting the team Tuesday night.
The Sixers outlasted the Washington Wizards 139-134 in overtime to stretch their winning streak to four games. Once the contest ended, Embiid and his teammates turned toward the crowd and appeared to mock one fan in particular. The seven-time All-Star's taunting included the signature chop gesture from WWE faction D-Generation X:

This has been one of Embiid's go-to celebrations for years, and it didn't escape the attention of WWE legends Triple H and Shawn Michaels:
After receiving a $25,000 fine from the NBA for what the league deemed "an obscene gesture," the Philly big man even went so far as to post a video of himself spliced into DX's old entrance.
"It's no secret that Triple H is my guy," he said after the fine was issued. "And obviously DX, when I used to watch wrestling, those were my guys. Anytime I get the chance … I haven't done it in a while, so I just felt like it was a good and-one. I got fouled and I threw the ball. I didn't even see the rim. And I felt like it was deserving of a good celebration, and that's why I went to it."
While Embiid's most recent example didn't happen in a game, the fact it was caught on video might put him at risk for another fine. If history is any indicator, that won't serve as much of a deterrent.
