Chris Johnson Agrees to Terms with Cardinals
Chris Johnson ran for 1,000-plus yards in six straight NFL seasons with the Tennessee Titans, but one disappointing campaign with the New York Jets in 2014 has decreased his value mightily around the league.
With training camp already in full swing, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported Johnson has agreed to terms with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday. Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com later confirmed the deal.
Rand Getlin of the NFL Network reported the deal is worth up to $2 million.

Head coach Bruce Arians confirmed Johnson passed his physical, per Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports 910.
Dianna Marie Russini of ESPN added she's been told Johnson's previous hesitation had to do with wanting to enter a situation where he may not make the team. With Andre Ellington and rookie David Johnson already in place, making the team is no sure thing for the former 2,000-yard rusher in Arizona.
The three-time Pro Bowler set career lows in rushing yards (663), attempts (155) and touchdowns (one) in New York despite playing in all 16 games. He lost primary ball-carrying duties to Chris Ivory as the season progressed.
It was the second consecutive season in which his production took a marked dip and the third in his last four in which he did not break a single carry of 50-plus yards. For someone who made his bones early in his career as an explosive home run threat, that's a concern.
Pro Football Focus' elusiveness rating, which grades running backs independent of their blocking, ranked Johnson 25th at his position last season. His breakaway percentage was on par with that of Alfred Morris, who isn't known as much of a burner around the league.
