Andrew PetersOct 27, 2025

Things did not go well for Deion Sanders and Colorado on Saturday.

The Buffaloes lost to Utah 53-7, marking their largest margin of defeat so far this season. A new video revealed Sanders' halftime and postgame speeches from the blowout loss.

At halftime, as Colorado trailed 43-0, Sanders tried to light a fire under his team, but things had already gotten out of hand.

"Offensive line, you're getting your butts kicked. Defensive line, you're getting your butts waxed. Coaches, we're getting out-coached," Sanders said (3:15 mark). "When is it gonna register and when are you gonna fight for you? For your dignity, for your pride. When are you gonna have some self-respect for the guy next to you?"

Sanders also made it clear to his players that he "better not see any quitting," noting that he would pull anyone who wasn't giving their best effort from the game and send them to the locker room.

After the game, there wasn't much Sanders could say.

"We can blame it on whoever we want to blame it on," Sanders said (6:30 mark). "Sooner or later, every last one of us, including me, we gotta look in the mirror. You gotta identify yourself, what you could do better, what you should be doing better, what you didn't do. Because we gotta fix this."

The Utes had their way with Colorado on the ground, rushing for 422 yards and four touchdowns. On offense, the Buffs couldn't get anything going, finishing with 140 total yards of offense.

Colorado fell to 3-5 with the loss, and the Buffaloes will try to get back on track this week when they face Arizona.
