How to Watch NBA Today? Complete TV Schedule, Live Streaming Guide and Viewing Options
Coverage of the NBA is going to look a little different with the start of the 2025-26 season, and finding each game may present a bit of a challenge.
As part of the new media rights agreement, NBCUniversal returned as a television partner for the league. The sounds of "Roundball Rock" are once again accompanying some of the biggest games on the calendar.
Prime Video is expanding its sports footprint as well and entering the weekly rotation. ESPN and ABC, meanwhile, are embarking on a 24th season with the NBA.
Here's a helpful guide for where nationally televised games will air each day of the week:
The NBA split its staple events and major showcases between the three media partners. Fans will want to make a note of where they'll have All-Star Weekend, the NBA Finals and the NBA Cup among other games.
- ABC & ESPN: Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Day, NBA Finals
- NBC & Peacock: Opening Night, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, All-Star Weekend (Rising Stars, Saturday Night, All-Star Game)
- Prime Video: NBA Cup knockout rounds and championship game, Black Friday, NBA Global Games, NBA Play-In Tournament
As usual, fans can watch any out-of-market game not on national TV through League Pass.
With all of the new changes in mind, the NBA rolled out a new "Tap to Watch" feature. Whether accessing the nightly schedule online or through the app, fans can be directed to the streaming service that's carrying each game.
The new season tips off Tuesday night.
The Oklahoma City Thunder host the Houston Rockets as they raise their championship banner and get their rings. Then, the Golden State Warriors travel down the West Coast to face off with the Los Angeles Lakers.
