Cayden Boozer Returning to Duke

Woj Responds to Criticism of Bonnies Tenure
Howard had plenty of options to choose from, and he narrowed his top three to Duke, Kentucky and North Carolina earlier this week.
"I chose Duke because I feel like I fit perfectly into their system, especially with how they play defense, move off the ball, and space the floor," Howard told Tipton. "Also the way everyone there treats each other like family really stood out to me and made me feel this is the right home."
Duke has had the top recruiting class in each of the past two seasons. The Blue Devils have a plethora of talent joining them this season, with twin brothers Cameron and Cayden Boozer highlighting the group.
Howard is just the first commit for the Blue Devils in the class of 2026, but he likely won't be the last.
Howard's father spent four years at Wake Forest before putting together a solid 10-year NBA career. He was an All-Star in 2007 when he put up 18.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game with the Dallas Mavericks. He retired in 2014 and is now the head coach at UNT Dallas.
Duke is coming off its best year under head coach Jon Scheyer, going 35-4 and 19-1 in conference play before advancing to the Final Four. The Blue Devils will look to put together another strong campaign in 2025 before welcoming Howard next year.
