Timberwolves Unveil Prince-Inspired City Edition Uniforms, Court in Photos
The Minnesota Timberwolves unveiled their new City Edition uniforms and court design on Monday, with an indigo-themed look that harkens back to the late, great Prince.
The Wolves will open the 2025-26 season on Wednesday, October 22 in Portland against the Trail Blazers.
Their home opener will be Sunday, Oct. 26 against the Indiana Pacers.
As for the City Edition threads, the Wolves will debut them on the court on Saturday, Nov. 15 at home against the Denver Nuggets. They will wear the uniforms seven times this season.
"Prince was a genius, an innovator, and a proud Minnesotan," L. Londell McMillan, Prince's attorney and representative of the Prince Estate, said in a statement. "This collaboration with the Timberwolves not only honors his music, but his love for basketball, his hometown, and his commitment to creativity and community. Seeing this uniform return is a powerful reminder of his lasting influence on the Twin Cities and a connection to a new generation of fans."
The Wolves first unveiled the Prince-themed uniforms in the 2018-19 season, and they were quickly a fan favorite. Per the team's website, "this season's Prince-inspired uniform rollout comes with expanded celebrations from a custom-designed court featuring Prince's iconic Love Symbol at center court, to in-arena musical performances by artists who worked closely with Prince himself, and more."
But most importantly, a fan-favorite uniform has made its long-awaited return.
