RB Montie Quinn Makes NCAA History with 522 Yards, 7 TD in Single Game on Video

The biggest star during Saturday's college football slate wasn't Ty Simpson at Alabama, Jeremiah Smith at Ohio State or Arch Manning at Texas.

Instead, it was Montie Quinn at Curry College.

Quinn set an NCAA single-game rushing record in his team's 71-27 victory over Nichols College with an astounding 522 yards on 20 carries. As if that wasn't enough, he scored seven touchdowns, two of which went for more than 80 yards.

"Man, I'm just humbled and grateful," Quinn said in a statement, per Kevin Bilodeau of WCSC 5 in Charleston, South Carolina. "Breaking the record is something I never imagined coming into today. The O-Line was dominating all game, receivers were blocking like crazy and coaches put us in position to make plays. This belongs to all of us, I just happened to be the one carrying the ball."

Dominance is nothing new for Quinn at Division 3 Curry College, as he broke the school's single-season rushing record as a sophomore and then again as a junior. He was also a First-Team D3 All-American last season.

The previous record was 427 rushing yards in a single game, which Oklahoma's Samaje Perine set during a 2014 victory over Kansas.

With Quinn leading the way, Curry has now won four games in a row and is 5-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. Next up is a matchup with Western New England as the running back looks to unleash an encore performance.
