Cooper Flagg, Mavericks' Throwback Uniforms Revealed in Hype Video, Photos
The Dallas Mavericks are the latest team to join the throwback jersey wave.
On Thursday, the Mavs unveiled their throwback green and white uniforms for the 2025-26 season with a hype video on social media featuring 2025 No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg and the rest of the team:
The release of the throwback jerseys was teased earlier this week as part of a celebration of Dallas' 45th anniversary as an NBA franchise, following its founding in 1980.
The Mavs are entering a new era following last year's shocking trade of star guard Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. Flagg will be surrounded by veteran talent in his rookie year, with a core led by star big man Anthony Davis, shooting guard Klay Thompson and point guard Kyrie Irving, the latter of whom is recovering from a torn ACL.
Flagg has already shown that he has the makings of a future superstar. He notched 13 points, two rebounds and three assists in Wednesday night's 121-94 preseason win over the Lakers.
The Mavs made it clear that Flagg will be handed the keys to the offense, as he will serve as the team's point guard regularly until Irving recovers. Players like D'Angelo Russell, P.J. Washington, Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford give Dallas one of the deepest lineups in the league this year.
It will be fun to see it all come together for the Mavs, and the throwback uniforms are another reason for fans to be excited for the upcoming season.
