Chargers, Chiefs Reportedly Eye RB Trade Before Deadline amid Alvin Kamara Rumors
Multiple NFL teams are reportedly searching for running back help ahead of the 2025 trade deadline.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs have both been contacting opposing teams about potential backfield additions.
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is among the players at his position "expected to garner interest from around the league," per Rapoport and Garafolo.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Los Angeles' running back depth has been tested early, as free-agent acquisition Najee Harris suffered a season-ending torn Achilles in Week 3 before 2025 first-round pick Omarion Hampton was placed on injured reserve with an ankle issue Wednesday.
Hampton will now miss at least four games until he's able to return.
While the Chiefs haven't been hit as hard by injuries, their rushing attack has still been inconsistent this year. Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt are only averaging 4.2 yards per carry and 3.8 yards per carry in 2025, respectively.
Through five weeks, Patrick Mahomes is Kansas City's leading rushing with 190 yards on the ground.
It's understandable why Kamara is an enticing option, as the 30-year-old doesn't fit the exact timeline of a 1-4 Saints squad. He's also a versatile weapon who can make an impact as a receiver, recording at least 1,100 yards from scrimmage in each of his first eight years in the NFL.
This season, Kamara has amassed 283 rush yards and 77 receiving yards to go along with one touchdown.
His availability on the trade market is uncertain, though. Rapoport also reported Saturday that the Saints "aren't expected" to move Kamara despite interest in him.
The 2025 trade deadline is on Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. ET.
