Bill Belichick, UNC's Hulu Documentary Reportedly 'No Longer Happening' Amid Rumors
Bill Belichick's first year as UNC head coach was set to be the subject of a season-long Hulu documentary, but reportedly plans have changed.
According to Jeremiah Holloway of On3.com, sources confirmed that the season-long documentary of Belichick's first year with the Tar Heels "is no longer happening."
Holloway noted that it was just two months ago that Belichick announced to his team that UNC agreed to take part in the filming of a docuseries with Hulu to provide behind-the-scenes footage of the 73-year-old's first attempt at coaching college football and the Tar Heels' journey while being led by arguably the greatest NFL coach of all time.

"I'm excited to share with you that we will be doing that with EverWonder and Hulu that will showcase our football program," Belichick said in a social media video posted in August. "This is about the UNC football program. There's obviously a lot of interest in it, and it will stream on Hulu later this fall."
He continued: "It's gonna feature the players working hard, which you guys do. It's about the players improving and getting better through their hard work, which you do. And a program starting from where it started from several months ago to wherever it's gonna do during the course of the season, which, of course, we determine on the field. It'll show our commitment to winning, it'll show our commitment to the team, and that's our priority."
Unfortunately, the 2025 season hasn't been very kind to Belichick. UNC fell to 2-3 with a 38-10 loss to Clemson this past Saturday. Holloway noted that the Tar Heels have been outscored 120-33 against power conference opponents.
UNC is on a bye this week, so Belichick is surely trying to find a way to get things back on track before the team faces Cal (4-2) on Oct. 17.
