Nick Saban Jokes Bill Belichick is 'Full of S--t' on Video After UNC HC's Praise

Nick Saban joked that UNC football head coach Bill Belichick is "full of s--t" during a College Gameday interview on Saturday.

The College GameDay crew got a chance to speak with Belichick before his team was set to take on Clemson. Saban and Belichick go way back, with the former coach serving as the latter's defensive coordinator on the Cleveland Browns from 1991-1994. It's clear the two still have a great relationship after three-plus decades as well as fantastic respect for each other as well.

Saban was under Belichick's tutelage in Cleveland, but Belichick gave much credit to learning some man defense concepts during their time on the Browns together. It's also clear the two did quite well together on the Browns, particularly in their last season, when the team finished first in scoring defense and allowed just 12.8 points per game en route to an 11-win campaign and a playoff appearance.

The two went their separate ways in 1995 when Saban took the Michigan State job. Belichick lost his gig with the Browns after the 1995 season, a tumultuous campaign in which the specter of the team's impending move to Baltimore hung over the team's heads.

Of course, both have found great success since. Belichick won six Super Bowls as the head coach of the New England Patriots. Saban ended up winning a national championship with LSU before adding six more for Alabama.

Now Saban is an analyst for ESPN, while Belichick is trying to build a program at UNC, marking his first year as a college football head coach. It's been a tough start so far, with UNC going 2-2 through four games heading into Saturday.
