Exclusive Oregon Football 'Mummy Duck Vaporposite' Cleat Revealed in Epic Nike Video
Oregon will be donning exclusive Nike cleats when it makes the trip to play No. 3 Penn State in Happy Valley on Saturday.
The Ducks showed off the "Mummy Duck Vaporposite" footwear on social media. The cleats glow in the dark, so fans won't miss Oregon players whenever the lights at Beaver Stadium go down:
Thanks to its connection to alumnus and Nike co-founder Phil Knight, Oregon football has long been on the cutting edge in terms of fashion. Seemingly every year, the Ducks add a new uniform or design feature to make themselves stand out a little more.
The team hasn't revealed the full uniform it will wear this week. Based on the color of the cleats, the all-white "Warp Speed" threads are the likeliest candidate.
The road trip to Penn State is the biggest game on Oregon's schedule.
The Nittany Lions are off to a 3-0 start, though their three wins were against Nevada, FIU and Villanova. James Franklin's squad hasn't yet shown whether it truly warrants its Top-Five status or if this team is different from the previous ones of the Franklin era, which have often come up short against elite opposition.
Saturday's clash will be an early indication of which Big Ten power presents the biggest threat to reigning national champion Ohio State.
