Deion Sanders' Halftime Speech During Colorado's Win vs. Wyoming Revealed on Video
Colorado needed a fiery halftime speech to close things out against Wyoming on Saturday, and head coach Deion Sanders gave the Buffaloes exactly what they needed.
Sanders encouraged his players to play as if the score were tied rather than 21-3, reminding them not to get "comfortable," "playful" or "giddy." He also told his players to finish the game off strong for "the guy sitting next to you."
His full speech can be found here (17-minute mark):
Sanders' intense speech clearly worked, as the Buffaloes closed out the game strong to win 37-20. Arguably the most notable takeaway from the game was the play of quarterback Kaidon Salter, who finished with 304 passing yards, 86 rushing yards and four total touchdowns.
The Liberty transfer struggled in his first few games, so it has to be encouraging for Sanders and his coaching staff to finally see him figure things out.
Colorado got the win on Saturday, but it hasn't started the season the way Sanders would have hoped. The Buffs are 2-2 with losses to Georgia Tech and Houston and wins over Wyoming and Delaware.
They're entering the toughest part of their schedule, as they'll face three top-25 teams over the next three games.
