NFL Rumors: Latest Buzz Surrounding A.J. Green, Julio Jones and More
The dominoes are falling in the NFL.
After threatening to hold out if he didn't get the contract of his dreams, Dez Bryant signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys.
At nearly the same time that Bryant put his signature on a new contract, Demaryius Thomas signed a new deal with the Denver Broncos, also five years for $70 million. The only difference between the two contracts is that Bryant will receive $45 million in guaranteed money, while Thomas' deal guarantees $43.75 million.

So that means A.J. Green of the Cincinnati Bengals is next in line to sign a new deal, right? Not necessarily.
According to NFL.com insider Ian Rapoport, Green has no plans to sign a new deal. He plans to play out the final year of his deal and potentially head to free agency at the end of the 2015 season. Green is scheduled to earn $10.1 million this season.
Green is the Bengals' best receiver and their most explosive offensive weapon. He caught 69 passes for 1,041 yards and six touchdowns last year, and if he were to eventually leave, it would create a major hole in the Cincinnati offense.

Wide receiver Julio Jones and the Atlanta Falcons are not even talking to each other about a new contract, according to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com. McClure quotes a league source as saying the two sides have not held any recent discussions about a potential extension.
Jones is scheduled to earn $10.176 million in 2015, and he means as much to the Falcons as Bryant, Thomas and Green mean to their teams.
Jones caught 104 passes for 1,593 yards last year, but he spent much of the 2013 season with a broken foot and played just five games. According to McClure, the Falcons have said they want to keep Jones, and the receiver has not threatened a holdout the way Bryant did before he got his new contract.

Two-time Pro Bowl guard Evan Mathis remains on the market, but he has several teams who are interested in his services. Mathis was cut by the Philadelphia Eagles last month.
One of the teams interested in signing Mathis is the Miami Dolphins, according to Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald. The Dolphins have had problems with consistency on the offensive line in recent seasons, and signing Mathis makes sense.
However, he should have several options, and according to Dave Hyde of the Sun Sentinel, Mathis has said that key factors in figuring out which team he will play for include the coaching staff, contender status and location.
