
LSU, Florida Get in Pregame Scuffle on Video During Warmups Ahead of Rivalry Game
Saturday's rivalry game between LSU and Florida got chippy even before the Week 3 kickoff.
The ESPN broadcast showed players from both teams clashing on the sideline at Tiger Stadium during pregame warmups.

The Athletic's Matt Baker provided a sideline view of the scuffle:
A second pregame scuffle led an official to throw a flag on the field before the game started, per WAFB-TV's Jacques Doucet.
A video from SEC reporter Chris Gordy showed LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier talking with his teammates after the scuffle.
The Tigers and Gators are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
LSU and Florida head into Saturday's matchup deadlocked in the all-time rivalry, with a 34-34-3 record between the two teams dating back to 1937.
This marks the first time the rivals are playing since the 2024-25 college football season.
Florida emerged victorious from the rivals' last matchup, a 27-16 win over host LSU on Nov. 16, 2024.
No. 3 LSU is the higher-ranked team going into Saturday. Florida, which went into Week 2 at No. 13, dropped out of the ranking altogether ahead of the matchup.
The Gators have split the season so far between a blowout win over LIU and a narrow loss to South Florida. Florida head coach Billy Napier meanwhile heads into the matchup with a 20-20 record with the program.
LSU coach Brian Kelly, on the other hand, is looking to secure a 3-0 start to the season after the Tigers opened the campaign with back-to-back victories over No. 12 Clemson and LA Tech.
