AP College Football Poll 2025 Week 3 Rankings Released with Top Risers and Fallers
Arizona State and Florida were the biggest fallers in the new Associated Press Top 25 poll after they fell victim to upsets in Week 2.
The Sun Devils and Gators were 12th and 13th heading into the weekend and are no longer ranked whatsoever in the newest poll.
At the other end of the spectrum, Oklahoma moved up from 18th to 13th following a 24-13 win over Michigan at home in Norman.

Michigan vs. Oklahoma was the only Top 25 battle. It turned out to be a pretty one-sided affair with the Sooners jumping ahead by 14 points midway through the second quarter and finishing with a 408-288 edge in total yards.
Wolverines quarterback Bryce Underwood might over time prove to be a great college QB. For now, the true freshman is a work in progress. He finished 9-of-24 for 142 yards against OU.
Underwood and running back Justice Haynes also had a heated discussion on the sidelines in the second quarter.
"We're just competitors," Haynes said after the game. "We want to do what's best for the team. We're good — that's my brother. I love him. We going to be just fine."
Head coach Sherrone Moore chalked it up to a "communication error."
As a 5-star recruit, Underwood would've faced a ton of pressure in any previous era of college football. The fact he has an NIL deal reportedly worth five figures overall only makes him a bigger target.
These are the growing pains you expect with a coach handing the offense over to a first-year quarterback. Underwood is bound to improve as he gains more experience.
Florida fans will be extending much less patience to head coach Billy Napier after Nico Gramatica hit a 20-yard field goal as time expired and secured an 18-16 win for South Florida.
More than the result itself, the nature of the Gators' loss sent the fanbase spiraling.
Gramatica missed a 58-yarder inside the final three minutes, which meant Florida was clinging to a one-point lead. The Gators proceeded to go three-and-out and drained just 27 seconds off the clock thanks to a pair of incompletions from quarterback DJ Lagway.
From there, it was time for the Florida defense to provide USF with a helping hand.
Defensive back Dijon Johnson committed a pass interference penalty and then defensive lineman Brendan Bett earned an ejection for spitting on a Bulls player. Those two flags combined to move the ball 28 yards up the field.
USF was in Florida territory after Byrum Brown and Alvon Isaac combined for a 29-yard completion. Once the Bulls were set up with a 1st-and-goal from the Gators 8-yard line, there was little doubt in how the game was ending.
All told, the fourth quarter was a disasterclass by Napier.
A four-game winning streak to conclude 2024 helped to lower the temperature surrounding the head coach. Two games into 2025, he's back on the hot seat with matchups ahead against LSU, Miami, Texas and Texas A&M.
Should Florida move on from Napier after this season, the USF upset will be considered the beginning of the end of his tenure.
The Gators' Week 3 trip to Baton Rouge would've been the biggest Week 3 headliner if they had won. Instead, that distinction now belongs to No. 8 Notre Dame vs. No. 16 Texas A&M.
The Aggies' 8-5 record in 2024 was only a one-win improvement from the year before, but head coach Mike Elko generally did well in sifting through the fallout following Jimbo Fisher's ouster. A date with a Top-10 foe is an opportunity for Elko to show major progress in Year 2.
