LaNorris Sellers Tops Arch Manning, Klubnik on Field Yates' 2026 NFL Draft QB Rankings
After Week 1 of the 2025 college football season, ESPN's Field Yates has named his top quarterback for the 2026 NFL draft.
Yates crowned South Carolina star LaNorris Sellers as the top quarterback in this year's class over Texas' Arch Manning and Clemson's Cade Klubnik. Yates has Arizona State's Sam Leavitt at No. 4 and Penn State's Drew Allar at No. 5.
The ranking comes after Sellers delivered a solid performance to start the season, while Manning and Klubnik left much to be desired.
Though it was far from the best game for Sellers, he threw for 209 yards and a touchdown on 12-of-19 passing, adding a touchdown on the ground in a 24-11 win over Virginia Tech.
Manning, who went on the road against Ohio State in Week 1, threw for just 170 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 17-of-30 passing in a 14-7 loss to the Buckeyes.
Klubnik had 230 passing yards and an interception on 19-of-38 passing in the Tigers' 17-10 loss to LSU.
While Manning and Klubnik didn't perform well in their respective Week 1 matchups, there is still plenty of football to be played, and both quarterbacks could solidify themselves as top picks.
In the latest mock draft from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department, Sellers is projected to go No. 1 overall to the New Orleans Saints. Manning is the projected No. 3 pick to the New York Jets, while Klubnik is not projected to be a first-rounder.
